FFTEC Motorsports offers rear differential service and upgrades for the Evolution 8 and 9. The basic rear diff service starts off with the dissassembly and detailed inspection of the bearings, housing, differential, differential plates and side cover. After the inspection you will be contacted and advised on the condition of the rear differential and it's components. Upon request, the order of the factory rear differential plates can be rearranged (AKA 8-plate modification). This simple modification increases LSD lockup while under power and still maintaines a safe amount of understeer during braking and lift throttle conditions. This is an ideal setup for the daily drivers with occasional track use.
